No forgiveness for Afan, he had no debts worth mentioning – says mother Shemi

The mother of Venjaramoodu massacre accused Afan said that she had a debt of Rs 25 lakh. She was the one who had a huge debt. Shemi, the only witness in the case, told the media that she had taken all the loans. She said that he was the one who killed my grandfather. She told the media that she only remembers Afan strangling her after asking her to forgive him. The father also said that he could not forgive his son.

“Afan didn’t have any significant debt. When everything he had was gone, he and Afan went to get money from relatives on the day of the incident. But they didn’t get the money. After returning home, Afan went somewhere,” Shemi said. Afan had taken money from loan apps.

She also told the police that it was her son Afan who had attacked and tried to kill her. Shemi testified that Afan had come up behind her on the morning of the incident and grabbed her by her shawl and said, “Mother, you must forgive me and forgive me.” When she replied, “I’m sorry, my children,” she felt the shawl tighten around her neck. She then lost consciousness.
