Firing by Pakistani forces at the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. The firing was carried out from various Pakistani military posts towards Indian territory.
The Indian Army reported that minor firing incidents took place on Friday night and early Saturday morning. Following the Pakistani firing, Indian security forces responded strongly. No casualties have been reported.
Meanwhile, an encounter between terrorists and security forces took place early Friday morning in Bandipora, Jammu and Kashmir. One terrorist and two security personnel were injured in the exchange of fire.
At the same time, a massive joint search operation by the army, CRPF, and Jammu and Kashmir Police is underway to track down the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack. The search is being conducted in the Pir Panjal forest region.
The army has announced a reward of ₹20 lakh for anyone providing information about the terrorists. Senior military officials have reviewed the security situation in the Poonch-Rajouri districts and the Pir Panjal forest area.
