PM receives warm welcome in US, discusses important issues with Trump

Washington: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the US for a two-day visit. Modi landed at Joint Base Andrews in Washington this morning and was given a warm welcome. The visit is at the invitation of US President Donald Trump. The Prime Minister’s plane landed at Andrews Air Force Airport near Washington. Many Indians had also arrived in front of Blair House to receive the Prime Minister.

Important issues will be discussed in the meeting between the two leaders. Modi’s visit to the US is in the fourth week after Trump took office. During his US visit, Modi is likely to meet Tesla CEO and US Cabinet member Elon Musk. Modi will interact with the Indian community and businessmen in the US.

Narendra Modi is the fourth world leader to meet Trump since he took office as US President on January 20. Earlier, world leaders including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, and Jordanian King Abdullah had met with Trump.
