Mumbai: A suspect in the incident of stabbing Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan six times is in police custody. The actor was attacked at around 2:30 am on Thursday at Saif’s Sadhguru Sharan building in Bandra West. Saif was reportedly rushed to the hospital with a piece of the knife stuck in his spine. However, doctors said that the actor is out of danger.
Footage of the suspect being taken to Bandra police station on Friday morning has emerged. No further details about the person in custody are available at this time. There is also no confirmation whether he is the same person who broke into the actor’s house on Thursday. The actor suffered six injuries on his hands and neck. Two of them, including the spine, are serious. The hospital CEO Dr.Neeraj Uttamani had stated that a two-and-a-half-inch long knife was surgically removed from his spine.
Saif Ali Khan was accompanied by his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan and their children Taimur and Jeh. The attacker demanded Rs 1 crore, according to the statement given to the police by Aliaamma Philip, a nurse assigned to look after Saif Ali Khan’s children.
