Rameswaram Cafe Blast; One in NIA custody

Bengaluru: The NIA has taken a person into custody in connection with the Rameswaram cafe blast case. The NIA has taken a person named Syed Shabir into custody. The NIA has taken him into custody following the discovery that he interacted with the suspect in Bellary.

After the Bengaluru blast, the accused traveled in two inter-state buses and reached Bellary. The CCTV footage of this was found by the investigating agencies.

Shabir was last seen on CCTV at the Bellary bus stand at around 8.58 pm, eight hours after the blast. The investigation team could not find out where the accused went after reaching Bellary. It has been found that Shabir interacted with the accused when he reached Bellary.

The investigation team has also found that he changed his shirt and hat and came out wearing a T-shirt within three kilometers of the Rameswaram cafe where the blast took place.
