Chennai: The Election Commission rejected the complaint against the flag of Tamil film actor Vijay’s party [vijays party]Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam . Mayawati’s party Bahujan Samaj Party had approached the Election Commission with a complaint against TVK’s flag. The Election Commission’s decision is a big relief for Tamil Vetri Kazhagam.
The Election Commission said that there are no defects in the TVK flag and there is no need to change the TVK flag. The BSP complained that the elephant on the flag of the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam was their symbol. Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam presented the flag of Rashtriya Party on August 22 last. Vijay presented a red and yellow flag for his party. Vijay will explain the flag to the ranks today. Vijay states that he will stick to democracy, secularism, social justice and has faith in the Indian Constitution.
Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam will stand for religious harmony, unity and equality. Vijay explains that the struggle of those who sacrificed their lives for the Tamil language will continue. The flag was unveiled at the first political function after the formation of the party. The yellow and red flag features a flower and an elephant. Meanwhile, the first TVK state conference could not be organized at Vikravandi in Vibhupuram district on 23rd of this month due to lack of police permission. TVK’s state conference is getting delayed. The letter given by TVK seeking permission to hold the conference has been left undecided by the police raising various questions.
