Seven Killed in Terrorist Attack in Gagangir, Ganderbal District of Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: The death toll in the terrorist attack in Gagangir, Ganderbal district of Jammu and Kashmir, has risen to seven. The victims were laborers brought in for the construction of a tunnel near Sonamarg and were shot dead by terrorists. Security forces have intensified their search for the assailants. The attack was condemned by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Jammu and Kashmir’s former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah. Union Minister Amit Shah promised stringent action against the terrorists.

This marks the fifth attack this year targeting non-local workers in Kashmir. The incident comes shortly after the body of a laborer from Bihar was found with gunshot wounds in Shopian. A few days ago, the body of Ashok Chauhan, a 30-year-old worker from Bihar’s Banka district, was also discovered in the Wachi area of Zainapora.
