Temperature to rise in the state today, warns Meteorological Department

Thiruvananthapuram: According to the Central Meteorological Department’s warning, the temperature will increase in the state today. It has been announced that the temperature will increase by two to three degrees in isolated places from 11 am to 3 pm.

The State Disaster Management Authority has warned the public to be vigilant. They should avoid direct sunlight and continue to drink enough water. If they feel unwell due to the heat, they should rest and seek medical attention immediately, the warning says.

It is advised to avoid prolonged direct sunlight exposure between 11 am and 3 pm and to continue drinking water even if you are not thirsty. Similarly, the Disaster Management Authority has advised to avoid alcohol, coffee, tea, carbonated soft drinks, etc., which cause dehydration, during the day and to wear loose, light-colored cotton clothes.
