Impersonation for accused in criminal case, complaint against CPM area committee member

Pathanamthitta: The CPM appointed a commission of inquiry against the CPM area committee member in the case of impersonating the accused in criminal cases. The complaint is that he impersonated as the secretary of the Nedumbram local committee and intervened in the marriage proposal.

Prakash Babu, a member of the CPM Tiruvalla Area Committee, impersonated the local secretary and tried to conduct the marriage which the girl’s family refused. Prakash Babu impersonated Nedumbram local secretary Vinayachandran for the marriage of a youth from Vaikathillam, who is accused in POCSO cases. The marriage of the young man with Ambalapuzha native was supposed to take place on the last eight. But the girl’s family withdrew from the marriage after realizing the criminal background of the relative. Then Prakash Babu took three people and reached the girl’s house. He introduced himself as LC Secretary Vinayachandra and those with him were members of the Area Committee.
The suspicious family came to know about the impersonation when they contacted Vinayachandra through someone else. Vinayachandran then filed a complaint with the area committee.
