The police filed a charge sheet against Suresh Gopi as the elections approached

Kozhikode: Police has filed a charge sheet against actor and BJP leader Suresh Gopi as the Lok Sabha elections are approaching. The police filed a charge sheet in the Kozhikode Judicial First Class Magistrate Court in a case of indecency with a journalist.

In the charge sheet, it is said that he acted in a way that caused defamation to Atijeewa. On the 26th of last month, investigating officer Nadakavu SI submitted the charge sheet to the court. The investigation team submitted the charge sheet to the court on the 27th but due to an error, the charge sheet was sent back.

Later the errors were corrected and resubmitted today. A 180-page charge sheet was submitted to the court in the case registered by the Nadakavu police. The charge sheet states that Suresh Gopi behaved in a defamatory manner. Upadeva has been charged under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code for the offense of touching with intent to commit rape.

Kerala Police Act 119A was also added. This is a section that imposes lewd behavior towards women in public places. The charge sheet has been prepared including all these. The High Court had granted anticipatory bail to Suresh Gopi in the case. Meanwhile, it is clear as day that Suresh Gopi is being moved in the case when the Lok Sabha elections are about to take place.
