On Monday, a senior minister in the government had said, “100 ventilators are coming from the US as donations.” Ventilators are coming from Air India aircraft. It is being fully managed by the Red Cross Society. ”
On May 16, US President Donald Trump tweeted,” I am proud to announce that America will donate 100 ventilators to a friend India. We stand with India and PM Narendra Modi during this epidemic. We are also cooperating in vaccine development. Together we will defeat the invisible enemy. ”
Responding to Trump’s tweet, PM Narendra Modi thanked him and underlined the India-US relationship. The PM tweeted, “At such a time, maximum effort is needed to make the nations work together and make the world more healthy and free from Covid-19”.
