The lockdown led to the return of migrant workers in several states, including UP Bihar, after which cases of coronavirus increased rapidly. However, now that the pace of return of laborers has come down, the Corona cases have started coming down. Various states kept the returned migrant workers in quarantine for 21 days. Officials say the decrease in cases is because workers are coming back less in the first and second weeks of June than in the first.
