Thiruvananthapuram: Son cannot attack anyone else, and the one who attacked her was not her son. Mother Shemi defends Afan, accused in the Venjaramoodu massacre case. Her position is that she was injured after falling from the bed.
This was the statement that Shemi had given to the police earlier as well. Shemi also told her husband that she had fallen from the bed. Shemi, who was transferred from the hospital, is currently in a protective facility.
Meanwhile, Afan will be taken into custody by the Venjaramoodu police today for the third phase of evidence collection. The three-day custody is in connection with the murder of his girlfriend and younger brother.
The police had taken the suspect in custody in the murder case of his father’s brother and wife to various places the other day to collect evidence. Afan’s statement is that he killed his father’s brother, Latif, and his wife by hitting them on the head with a hammer because they constantly abused him to get back the money he had borrowed.
