Kannur: Woman arrested in POCSO case. The incident took place in Taliparamba in Kannur district. Sneha Merlin, a native of Pulimbaram, was arrested. The Taliparamba police arrested Sneha on a complaint of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.
The teachers, who were suspicious of the girl’s behavior, had informed the parents. Then, the Child Line authorities provided counseling to the child. This is when the information about the abuse came to light. Later, the information was handed over to the police and a case was registered. It is reported that the incident related to the case took place last February. Sneha was also an accused in an earlier assault case.
