Municipal Teachers Association General Secretary Ramnivas Solanki said, “Today we have also written a letter to Home Minister Amit Shah asking for help, in which we have also informed him that all teachers are working for 12 hours during this corona epidemic. We are not only distributing rations to the poor, but we are also helping migrant laborers and treatment centers. ”

He added, “We have been at the forefront of this fight against pandemics. The Supreme Court is also instructing to pay salaries of doctors and health workers, but they are ignoring the teachers, while the teachers are also frontline corona warriors. ”

The letter stated that “The teachers have not received the salaries of March, April, and May, while the month of June is also coming to an end. Seventh Pay Commission arrears have not been received for the last four years. The outstanding bills have not been paid for the last 10 years. Children’s teacher recruitment bill has not been paid for the last five years. Medical bills have not been paid for years. In such a situation, if a teacher or his family member has to undergo treatment, he will have to borrow money for it. ”

There is great disappointment among teachers due to the non-payment of salary. On 15 June, CAT ordered that all teachers and pensioners of the North Corporation be paid three months ‘salary and pension within 15 days and on 18 June also the High Court directed the Northern MCD to pay all teachers’ salaries within a week. He was also directed to pay.
