New Delhi: A senior police officer has been arrested in the case of a 15-year-old girl being locked up and tortured in Assam’s Golaghat. DSP Kiran Nath of Lajit Borpukan Police Academy was arrested.
He locked the girl who came to work at home and tortured him continuously. The child’s parents filed a complaint with the police. The complaint was lodged at the station on Saturday. Yesterday, based on the complaint, a case was registered against the police officer and an investigation was started.
The girl says that Kiran Nath keeps her locked in the house and tortures her with the help of her family members. At the same time, DCP Gyanendra Pratap Singh informed that evidence was found in the investigation and the policeman was arrested. Many charges including POCSO case have been charged against him.
