Kozhikode: Subaida, a 30-acre landowner, was hacked to death by her son who had come to visit her mother, who was in bed after surgery for a brain tumor. The incident took place in Thamarassery Kaithappoyil.
The police have launched a search for the killer, 25-year-old Aashiq, the only son. The incident took place this afternoon at the house of Zubeida’s sister Shakeela in Puthupaddi Choi. Aashiq, who was a drug addict, was undergoing treatment at a de-addiction center in Bengaluru.
Subaida, who was suffering from a brain tumor, was staying at her sister’s house after her surgery. Her body was weak. Today, her son, who had come to see his mother, murdered Shakeela’s mother when no one else was at home and escaped. The body was shifted to Kozhikode Medical College Hospital. The police have started a search for the accused, Ashiq.
