Thrissur: A massive robbery took place in three ATMs in Thrissur city last day. The accused were caught by the police very daringly. The accused were arrested by the Tamil Nadu Police. The accused will be produced in court today.
The accused will be produced before the Namakkal Magistrate. It is also informed that the accused will be brought to the scene of the incident and evidence will be collected. The Kerala Police has informed that they will submit a production warrant to the court to get the accused released.
Officers of Thrissur Town East and Irinjalakuda police stations interrogated the accused till dawn today. Tamil Nadu has started a judicial inquiry into the death of one of the accused who was shot by a police officer during his arrest. In this situation, the transfer of the accused to Kerala is likely to be delayed.
It is suspected that the arrested suspects are also behind the ATM robbery in Tamil Nadu’s Krishnagiri district. It is suspected that they were also behind the ATM robbery in Andhra and Karnataka. The police had earlier identified Muhammad Ikram, a resident of Nooh, Haryana, as the mastermind of the robbery. ATMs in Thrissur are selected by Muhammad Ikram. Police said three cases in Haryana, two in Rajasthan and one in Maharashtra have been registered against him in connection with ATM theft.
