Idukki: Vigilance arrested Idukki DMO in bribery case for taking bribe from hotel owner. Dr L Manoj was arrested in the case of taking 75000 bribe.
The bribe was taken to grant a fitness certificate to a hotel in Munnar. The money was received through the Google account of the DMO’s driver.
Vigilance also took the driver Rahul Raj into custody. Dr Manoj, who was under suspension, approached the Administrative Tribunal and got a stay on the suspension. He was arrested after returning to service today.
