The UP government came into the scene with bulldozer action against the Islamists who committed violence during the Navratri procession. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had ordered 24-hour vigilance in UP on the occasion of Navratri. However, a group of people has clearly planned a plan that has been staged in the past few days. A youth named Ram Gopal was also killed in the violence. The houses of 23 people, including Abdul Hameed, the main suspect in the Bahraich violence, will be demolished with bulldozers.
PWD has issued a notice to remove within 3 days. The five accused in the case namely Abdul Hameed, Rinku alias Sarfaraz, Faheem, Talim and Afzal had earlier been produced by the police at the residence of CJM Pratibha Chaudhary in Judges Colony. Sarfaraz was shot dead by the police while trying to enter Nepal. All the accused are residents of Maharajganj. On 13th of this month, during an idol immersion procession in Hua Mansoor village, a clash broke out in Hardi police station limits. The clash started when some objected to a DJ playing music as the procession passed in front of a mosque in Maharajganj area. 22-year-old Ram Gopal Mishra died.
Sarfaraz was killed in a police encounter while trying to escape through Nepal border. Sarfaraz is the second son of Abdul Hameed, the prime accused in the attack on the Durga idol immersion procession in Bahraich. It was Sarfaraz Khan who fired at Ram Gopal Mishra who was participating in the procession.
At the same time, the attackers had invaded the temple in different parts of the country. After Navratri celebrations, a group of Muslim fundamentalists attacked the temple. A group of people chanting ‘Allahu Akbar’ attacked the Mutyalamma Devi temple near the Kumari Guda Monda market around 4 am. CCTV footage has surfaced of them entering the temple and kicking the idol of the goddess outside the temple. The locals woke up to a loud noise and caught one of the assailants and handed them over to the police. A big protest was held in Kumariguda led by Hindu organizations.
Also, in West Bengal’s Malda, the Vishwakarma idol set up on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti was vandalized in the Puja Mandapam. It is alleged that the idol was damaged by Islamic terrorists. The assailants broke the idol’s head and hands. The incident took place on the night of 17th Vishwakarma Jayanti. Locals found the idol broken the next morning. Thus, a group of cultists with a precise conspiracy has targeted the temple.
In Himachal Pradesh, there were reports that attackers destroyed a Shiva temple. The Shiva lingam installed in a temple in Kangra was broken by unknown persons and thrown into the drain. Hindu organizations came out with a strong protest against the incident. The Shiva lingam was first known to have been removed from the altar. Later, during an investigation by the locals, the Shiva lingam was found in the nearby drain. Attacks on temples are on the rise. Anyway, these terrorists are trying to create communal riots in the country in the name of religion.
