Shimla: Flash flood in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh due to cloudburst. Traffic was disrupted on National Highway 3 on the Leh-Manali route. Traffic between Dhundi and Palchan was completely banned. No casualties were reported.
The police advised that travel to Manali should be done only in case of emergency. The police said to drive carefully and anticipate the possibility of an accident on the road. The vehicles towards Manali have been diverted.
Traffic has been banned on a total of 15 roads in the state, including 12 in Mandi, two in Kinnaur and one in Kangra. The State Emergency Operations Center also informed that 62 transformers were damaged due to the cloudburst. Rain is likely at isolated places in the state till Sunday.
