COVID 19 | Covid confirmed number exceeds 30,000 in the state; 65% are contact patients

The graph of Covid patients in the state is increasing day by day. The number of Covid confirmed people in the state has crossed 30,000. As of yesterday, Covid had confirmed 30,449 people. Of these, 11,983 are in treatment. Official deaths are also approaching 100.

It took four months after the first Covid case was reported in Kerala that the total number of cases crossed 1000. On May 27, the number of cases crossed 1,000. On July 16, the number of cases reached 10,000. It took 50 days to go from 1,000 to 10,000. But it took 12 days for the cases to cross 20,000. 20,000 passed on July 28th. Over the next 9 days, the total number of cases reached 30,000.As many as 30449 Covid patients were reported in the state till yesterday. Of these, 19,763 were contact patients. In other words, 65% of patients transmitted the disease through contact. The number of patients is higher in Thiruvananthapuram itself. Over 6000 patients passed in the capital.

The total number of patients in Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Malappuram and Kasaragod districts has crossed 2,000. 671 health workers were also infected. According to official figures, 97 people have died of covid in the state till yesterday.
