Doda attack, Police releases sketches of three terrorists, Announce Rs 5 lakh reward

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Police has released sketches of the three terrorists involved in the Doda attack that killed four soldiers, including a captain-rank officer. The Jammu and Kashmir Police has also announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh for those who provide information about the terrorists.

The police have also assured that the names of the informers will be kept confidential. Also shared more than a dozen phones and mobile numbers, including those of senior police officers and a control room for people to contact.

On July 16, four soldiers including Captain Brijesh Thapa, Naik D Rajesh, Sepoy Bijendra and Sepoy Ajay Naruka were martyred during an encounter with heavily armed terrorists in Doda district. Jammu and Kashmir witnessed several terrorist attacks thereafter. Six terrorists were killed in Kulgam district. On June 26, security personnel killed three terrorists in an encounter in Doda district.

The Pakistan-backed terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) claimed responsibility for the attack.
