Swami Bhadrananda alleged that apart from the funds provided by the producer, the masterminds behind Empuraan received secret funds, massive offers, and large-scale deals. He compared the film industry to a system where just as a soul can only function within a body, individuals in the industry are manipulated by exploiting their weaknesses and “purchasing” them accordingly.
He claimed that Mohanlal, Prithviraj, and those with hidden agendas were not lacking funds but that people in the film industry had succumbed to the lure of money. He further alleged that when Empuraan faced financial difficulties and could not proceed, Gokulam Gopalan was eventually drawn into the situation by accepting financial commitments, which later became a shield for them. According to him, those involved were not financially struggling, and they would receive returns for their actions through future film projects.
Swami Bhadrananda also claimed that there are funding sources from other countries and that the full control of drugs lies within the Malayalam film industry. He went as far as to state that all these individuals are terrorists.
