Mumbai: 12 people in hospitalised after eating chicken shawarma. The incident took place in Gorgaon area of Mumbai. The indication is food poisoning. Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation officials informed that nine of the 12 people admitted to the hospital have been discharged. Those who ate shawarma from a restaurant located near the satellite tower in Santosh Nagar became physically unwell.
Those who ate shawarma from here sought treatment at the hospital on Friday and Saturday. 9 out of 12 people who got food poisoning were discharged from the hospital. Three people are still undergoing treatment.
The health status of those undergoing treatment in the hospital is satisfactory. Those who ate shawarma from a roadside shop were the ones who got sick. Meanwhile, 50 students of the coaching center in Khed Tehsil, Pune were admitted to the hospital last day due to food poisoning.
