The Supreme Court has directed the Center to issue instructions to the States / UTs for payment of full salary to doctors and health workers. A 3-judge bench headed by Justice Ashok Bhushan also directed the states to issue directions for providing accommodation to health care workers. The court said that any doctor or HCW involved in the care and treatment of Kovid patients should be given quarantine of at least one week. The court further said that the central government should submit the report regarding complying with the order of payment of salaries to the doctors within four weeks and cautioned that the non-compliance of the order will be taken seriously.
