Actress Kankana Ranaut says humanity should be given instead of halal in shops. The actress was reacting to the Halal ban in Uttar Pradesh. Actress Kangana, who is also a BJP MP, questioned actor Sonu Sood’s stance on the Uttar Pradesh government’s proposal to display the names of the owners in the restaurants along the Kanwar Yatra.
Sonu Sood had posted on X stating that shop nameplates should display only “humanity”: “All shops should have only one nameplate, Sonu Sood’s post.Actress Nankana came against this. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday directed to display the name and identity of the operator/owner at the food and beverage shops along the Kanwar routes to maintain the sanctity of the pilgrims’ faith. It was also suggested to file a case against the violators.
Also, action will be taken against those selling Halal-certified products.The Uttar Pradesh government’s move to make ID cards mandatory at all shops along the Kanwar Yatra has led to a political tussle between the BJP and the opposition.
