Thiruvananthapuram: CCTV footage is out in the incident where a group in a car a young man was struck on the head and killed. The three accused in the case are the accused in another murder case five years ago. The suspects in the case of brutally murdering a young man from Ananthuna in 2019 are also behind this murder.
They killed Akhil the other day in a similar manner to the way they killed Ananthu. It is concluded that Akhil’s murder was in retaliation for an argument at a bar in Pappanamkote on April 25. Akhil and the accused were pushing and shoving at the bar. Akhil and Vineet of the gang were injured in the altercation.
As a revenge for this incident, the gang killed Akhil on Friday evening. In 2019, the accused killed a youth named Ananthu Girish after abducting him and torturing him for hours. This incident took place in March 2019. Ananthu and the accused had an argument during the festival at Konchiravila temple. Then they decided to take revenge on Ananthu while the birthday celebration of one of the accused was going on in a forested area near the national highway.
When Ananthu was remembered during the birthday celebration, the assailants went in search of him. Ananthu, who was standing at a roadside bakery, was then abducted on his own bike. He reached a deserted place and tortured Ananthu for a whole day.
He was stoned to the head and the flesh of his legs was cut off. While Ananthu was holding on for his life, the crowd chanted ‘Happy Birthday’ and laughed. The footage was filmed on a mobile phone. The blood vessels of Ananthu’s arms and legs were cut and his head was crushed with a heavy object. Akhil was also killed in a similar manner.
