Income Tax Raids at Taapsee, Anurag Kashyap’s Properties

Income Tax raids in Taapsee Pannu and Anurag Kashyap's properties

The Income Tax department is conducting raids at actor Taapsee Pannu and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s properties. The property of a talent hunt company, KWAN, is also being raided. KWAN’s CEO was summoned in a probe linked to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

The properties of filmmaker Vikas Bahl are also being searched. The searches are reportedly being conducted in Mumbai and various other locations. As per the report, the searches are related to Phantom Films. Reports suggest that the raids are being conducted in a case of tax evasion by Taapsee, Anurag and Vikas. Simultaneous raids are being conducted in 20 other locations apart from the residences of these celebrities in Mumbai and Pune. The Income Tax department has alleged tax evasion as the reason behind the raids. Film producer Madhu Mantena Varma, who also runs a talent management company, is also under the lens of the I-T department. Taapsee had recently announced on social media platform Instagram that she was reuniting with her ‘Thappad’ co-star Pavail Gulati for Kashyap’s upcoming thriller ‘Dobaaraa’.

The 33-year-old actor made the announcement on the first anniversary of ‘Thappad’ on February 28 by posting a candid picture of the two from the film. ‘Dobaaraa’ is Pannu’s third collaboration with Anurag Kashyap after the 2018 hit ‘Manmarziyaan’ and the drama ‘Saand Ki Aankh’, in which Taapsee had also donned the producer’s hat.
