India is set to conduct a test of 500 km strike range submarine launched cruise missile in March

New Delhi. The second phase test of the submarine-launched cruise missile will take place in the first week of March. The cruise missile is manufactured by DRDO. The cruise missile has a range of 500 km. Once the tests are completed, the missiles will become part of the force.

Defense sources say the test will be carried out from submarines off the east coast. This is the second test of a submarine-launched cruise missile. The first test was held in February 2023.

The design of the new missile is similar to the Nirbhay cruise missile. A missile capable of countering border threats will soon become part of the rocket force.
