Israel’s military conducted airstrikes on large buildings in Lebanon without prior warning or evacuation, resulting in significant destruction. Reports indicate multiple fatalities and injuries due to the attacks.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese government has reportedly informed the U.S. of its willingness for a ceasefire, according to The Washington Post. However, Israel has rejected any ceasefire, insisting on the eradication of Hezbollah.
This escalation comes after a retaliatory policy declared by Israel, following the firing of 30 rockets by Hezbollah into Israeli civilian areas, injuring an Israeli woman.
Eyewitnesses claim that the overnight airstrike in southern Beirut leveled a three-story building, with no evacuation notice given prior to the attack. The strikes are believed to be a response to missile launches targeting Israeli civilian areas.
