Israel conducted airstrikes on key Houthi strongholds in Yemen following the launch of a ballistic missile by the Houthis targeting Israel. The retaliatory strikes, described as severe, began at 3:15 AM, disabling operations at three major ports. A second attack followed at 4:15 AM, targeting Sana’a.
One of the key targets was the Hodeidah port, a vital hub for the Houthis. Docking equipment was destroyed, and numerous boats and other facilities were reduced to rubble. Israeli military chief Daniel Haragi stated that critical Houthi installations were dismantled in the strikes. He accused the Houthis of posing a global threat by blocking ships in the Red Sea and alleged that Iran backs their actions.
The Houthis have not yet responded to the attacks.
