Karma News makes history by appointing a transgender woman for the first time in the media industry

Karma News has created history by appointing a transgender woman for the first time in Kerala’s media industry. Fera B. Shamnas, a transgender woman, has been appointed as a News Lead Attendant.

As part of Karma Online News’ transition into a satellite news channel, several new recruitments were made, with around 231 employees joining the organization, including Fera.

Karma News’ HR department’s special focus on employment opportunities for transgender individuals is commendable, said P.R. Somdev, CEO of Karma News. He also emphasized that a dignified life is a fundamental right for everyone, including the transgender community.
