Narendra Modi’s Swearing-In Ceremony will Include Seven World Leaders, Including President of Maldives

Maldives President Mohammad Muisu will attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new government led by Narendra Modi. Muizu will reach Delhi on Saturday night for the ceremony. Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck will be visiting India.

Maldives President Mohamed Muisu was one of the first foreign leaders to congratulate Modi on his record-equal third-term victory. Preparations have been made at Rashtrapati Bhavan for the swearing-in ceremony. There were strong indications that the swearing-in may take place on Sunday instead of Saturday. Later, as the discussion regarding the understanding with the NDA parties was prolonged, it was postponed to Sunday.The BJP-led NDA won 293 seats out of 543 in the Lok Sabha elections. India alliance won 234 seats.
