NIA raids at nine locations in Srinagar related to terrorist activity

Srinagar: National Investigation Agency raids at nine places in Srinagar in a case related to terrorist activities. The police and CRPF are conducting a joint raid after getting a tip-off about the accused in the case registered by the NIA in 2022. The raid which started this morning is in progress.

The search was initiated based on intelligence that some activities related to terrorists were going on in Srinagar. The search comes a month after the chargesheet was filed against two terrorists in the Kokernag encounter in Kashmir. The accused in this case are related to The Resistant Front, a wing of Lashkar-e-Taiba, officials said.

Officials have gathered a lot of evidence against The Resistant Front, including inciting Kashmiri youth to join militant outfits. The terrorists tried to implement the target with the help of social media including Twitter, Telegram and YouTube. Investigators have also found that terrorists are making efforts to revive their network in Anantnag region as well.
