Officials of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) inspected the C-applet in connection with the distribution of religious scriptures delivered from the UAE Consulate. Officers from the NIA Kochi unit took the delivery officer of the C-applet for questioning.

Packets of 32 religious books were delivered to the delivery section from the UAE Consulate. It is said that a packet was later broken and religious scriptures were distributed to some of the employees. After that, the remaining 31 packets were taken to Malappuram.

The broken packet was kept in the c apt. The religious book was delivered in 250 packets in a diplomatic parcel on March 4. Earlier, several allegations were made in connection with the delivery of religious texts.

The C-app comes under the Department of Higher Education. Opposition groups called for a halt to the protests, saying that the decision to bring religious texts through the UAE consulate was a breach of protocol. Jalil was questioned by the Enforcement and NIA after the Congress and the BJP alleged that they should investigate whether he had smuggled gold under the guise of bringing the Qur’an.
