COVID has confirmed 75,083 new cases in the last 24 hours in the country. With this, the total number of cases has crossed 55 lakh. According to the Union Ministry of Health, 55,62,664 people have been diagnosed with the virus in the country, of which 9,75,861 are active cases.
44,97,868 people recovered. According to the Union Ministry of Health, 1,01,468 people have been cured in the last 24 hours. India had the highest number of cases yesterday. The cure rate in the country is 80.86 percent.
More than a thousand deaths were reported yesterday. This brings the total death toll to 88,935. Maharashtra has the highest incidence of the disease in India. There are 2,91,630 active cases in the state. 8,84,341 patients recovered.

At the same time, the number of people who have recovered in 24 hours in the country has crossed one lakh. 1,01,469 people were cured in 24 hours. 9,33,185 samples were tested in 24 hours. So far 6,53,25,779 samples have been tested, ICMR said.
