Jeddah: The path to a ceasefire in the Russia-Ukraine war is being paved. Ukraine has accepted the 30-day ceasefire agreement proposed by the United States. Ukraine has announced that it is ready to accept the agreement proposed by the United States. In this situation, the United States will restore the suspended financial aid to Ukraine. The American action that suspended intelligence information will also be withdrawn. Russia has not yet responded to the issue. The decision was made during discussions held in Saudi Arabia.
The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying it was ready for a ceasefire. If Russia also accepts the conditions, the temporary ceasefire can be mutually agreed and extended. The agreement on the transfer of prisoners, the release of civilian prisoners, and the return of displaced Ukrainian children was discussed. Ukraine called for the European Union to be involved in the talks.
The US delegation, led by Chief of Staff Andriy Yermak and led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, represented Ukraine. Currently, the US does not share intelligence on Russia with Ukraine, apart from US military and economic assistance. In recent days, Russia’s drone and missile attacks have caused widespread casualties and other damage in Ukrainian cities.
