Sanatana Dharma Takes Root in Austria: Foreigners Establish Lord Krishna Center

Sanatana Dharma has started in Austria. Foreigners have also started a center on Lord Krishna in Austria. This Vedic Center is under ISKCON or International Society. It is located in Vienna. Lord Krishna is not Indian. Lord Krishna is not a Hindu. Some of the followers of Lord Krishna call themselves Hindus but we know that Lord belongs to all.

So this center for this devotion has been started without any Indian help. Here the Bhagavad Gita is taught regularly, the Lord is worshiped and food is offered to the Lord. If one wants to open a temple of Lord Sri Krishna or to teach things about the Lord, one does not need to become an Indian or be born in a Hindu family, only the blessing of the Lord is enough to do that. Austrian Hindu devotees also say

There are many temples run by foreigners without much help from Indians and one of them is this Vedic center in Vienna. There are idols of Lord and devotees gather for one or two days every week, they tell stories about Lord, sing bhajans about Lord, perform pujas and also celebrate festivals like Janmashtami, Rama Navami, Kartika etc.

There are regular classes based on texts like Bhagavad Gita Bhagavata Ramayana etc but mostly in German language. All the devotees here are devotees of Lord Krishna who read Bhagavad Gita and Bhagavata in German. Many do not know English. The books on Lord Sri Krishna written by Shilabad, the founder of this school, have been translated in German and most of the devotees here are following the Lord’s path by reading them. They have only one desire, everyone should come to Sanatana Dharma. Lord Sri Krishna has done everything for the good of the world. They firmly believe that only Sanatana Dharma can save the world

There are many problems in the world and the solution to all of them is sanatana dharma, devotion to the Lord, because one who follows sanatana dharma does not want to harm another person, because Lord Krishna always teaches peace. In the Vedas it is said Vasateva Kudumbakam which means the whole world is Lord Sri Krishna’s family so whether German, French or African they are all members of Lord’s family. On the path of peace, they teach everyone the message of peace and the message of love.

They set aside a portion of their salary for the Lord. They run the center with the money they have earned. Performing pujas involves performing many rituals related to the Lord. Their aim is to make everyone aware of Sanatana Dharma.

A big temple should be built for the Lord and thousands of devotees should come. Our dream is to spread Sanatana Dharma throughout Austria, says their temple president Ananda Bihari Das. A monk comes here once a year. They are waiting for more monks and devotees to come to Australia, although there are very few devotees, they all regularly go on the road and distribute various books on Lord Sri Krishna like Bhagavad Gita, Bhagavatam Upanishads, books in Germany to foreigners. Apart from that, they tell people about the Lord and make them understand. Bhajans are performed along the way. Thus they propagate Sanatha Dharma and create awareness about the Lord and in all their festivals they serve free food offered to the Lord to the people. So they do annadanam together. All these have been deducted from their salary.

Their devotion, their love for God and their zeal to spread peace is what Indians need to discover. The interesting thing about it is that many of them want to visit the Ram temple in Ayodhya. They all love Sri Rama very much. Jay Sriram is very happy to say that when the Ram Temple came they were all very happy and they dedicated the Ram Temple and they performed pujas and they had big celebrations.
