India Awaits: Modi Government’s First Budget of Third Term to be Presented Tomorrow

The first budget session of the 18th Lok Sabha will begin today. Central Budget is tomorrow. The Economic Survey will be tabled in the House today. Both the Houses of Parliament are in session from today till August 12. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the full budget tomorrow after submitting the Economic Survey, which gives a clear picture of the country’s financial condition. The Interim Budget and Vote on Account were passed earlier.

Six bills, including the Coffee Promotion and Development Bill and the Rubber Promotion and Development Bill, crucial for Kerala, will be presented in the session. The budget for the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir will also be presented. The Indian Aircraft Act, which replaces the 1934 Aircraft Act, and the Boilers Bill, which replaces the pre-independence law, will also be introduced. An all-party meeting was held yesterday as a precursor to the session.

Nirmala Sitharaman will present the seventh budget in a row. It is indicated that there may be big announcements. Kerala is also expecting more. It is indicated that there may be announcement of big projects in the field of tourism and heritage tourism.

Union Minister Suresh Gopi himself has given instructions for the tourism circuit that stretches from Nagapatnam Valiyapalli to Thrissur Lourdes Mata Palli. This circuit includes Velankanni, Dindigal, Mangaladevi, Malayathur Church, Alphonsamma Tomb, Kaladi and Kodungallur. Kerala is expecting big projects for infrastructure development in pilgrimage centers and pilgrimage cities including Guruvayur of Amrit Project.
