Sandeep Warrier, who recently switched from the BJP to the Congress, is expected to be appointed as the General Secretary of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC). Reports indicate that a consensus has been reached regarding his appointment. Sandeep has conveyed to the Congress leadership that he is ready to take up an active role and will accept any position offered by the party.
Sandeep parted ways with the BJP during the recent by-election, criticizing the party’s state leadership, including NDA candidate C. Krishnakumar and BJP state president K. Surendran. He had previously expressed frustration over neglect within the BJP.
Sandeep received a grand welcome into the Congress, with opposition leader V.D. Satheesan and KPCC president K. Sudhakaran among those who extended their support. Since joining the Congress, he has actively participated in campaign activities for UDF candidate Rahul Mankootathil in Palakkad.
