M Sivasankar to be accused in dollar smuggling case

Former Principal Secretary to the Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, M Sivasankar’s bail plea rejected by Ernakulam Principal Sessions Court. The Enforcement informed the court about the involvement of Sivasankar in the gold smuggling case in Thiruvananthapuram. In addition, the ED reported the court that Shivshankar received commission over Life Mission and KFON projects. Sivasankar was arrested by the ED in the money laundering case and is in remand till November 26. The detailed argument has been completed in the bail application in the District Principal Sessions Court. The ED had told the court that the money found in Swapna’s locker was the commission received by Shivshankar in connection with the Life Mission Project. ED had submitted several evidences before the court in sealed enveloped.

Meanwhile, Sivasankar had provided more information in writing yesterday before the court in addition to his arguments. Shivashankar claimed that the ED was investigating the case in their interest and now ED officials are pressuring him to name the political leaders.
