Bengaluru: The conductor was suspended for beating up a passenger inside the bus following a ticket dispute. The incident took place in Bengaluru. After the video of the incident went viral on social media, the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) took action.
In the video, a conductor of Kothanur depot, Honnappa Nagappa Agasar, can be seen beating up a passenger. A verbal argument broke out between the bus conductor and the woman while taking the ticket. ” There was a verbal dispute between the non-state passenger and the conductor regarding the issue of tickets.
Then the conductor hit the passenger. “Disciplinary action has been taken and suspended against Mr. Honnappa Nagappa Agasar, conductor, Token No.-14140, Depot-34,” a statement issued by the Public Transport Corporation stated.
