An encounter took place between the army and terrorists in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir. Three terrorists were killed in the operation, including a Jaish-e-Mohammed commander, according to initial reports. A search operation is currently underway in the Akhnoor region to trace more militants.
The encounter occurred in the Chhatru forest area of Kishtwar. Based on intelligence inputs, the search operation had begun on April 9.
During the operation, the terrorists opened fire at the army personnel, prompting retaliation in which one terrorist was initially killed. The Indian Army’s White Knight Corps released this information. Later, two more terrorists were reportedly gunned down, according to national media sources.
