Tunnel Found Beneath Cemetery in Lebanon, Filled with Rockets and Guns

The Israeli army has destroyed a tunnel beneath a cemetery in southern Lebanon, which served as a Hezbollah weapons depot. The weapons were hidden under slabs where bodies were buried in the cemetery.

The Israeli army reported dismantling several underground tunnels used by Hezbollah in Lebanon. These tunnels, stretching for kilometers, included command and control rooms, sleeping quarters, and weapon storage areas.

Although it appeared as a cemetery from above, it concealed a tunnel system below. The entrance was designed to look like a grave. This was once a Christian church cemetery, but over time, following religious conversions and displacement of local Christians, the area was taken over. Hezbollah repurposed these former Christian graves and crypts for storing weapons.

Inside the tunnel were iron doors, air-conditioned rooms, thousands of AK-47 rifles, guns, explosives stored in cardboard boxes, sniper rifles, rockets, handheld shells, a bathroom, generator storage, water tanks, and kitchens.
