US:Indian student dies in a watercraft accident in Florida

Washington: A 27-year-old Indian student died after his watercraft collided with another in Florida. The deceased was identified as Venkittaramana Pithala, a native of Telangana. He was a graduate student at Purdue University, Indiana University, Indianapolis.

A 14-year-old boy from the South Florida mainland collided with a watercraft Saturday, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Venkataramana was driving a rented Yamaha personal watercraft.

A “Go Fund Me” campaign has been started to raise funds for the repatriation of the student’s body. He came to the US in May to get his degree. It was during this time that the disaster occurred.
