Virat Kohli asks the Chennai crowds to 'Whistle Podu'

The Indian team strongly strengthened its grip on England by coming up with a great all-round performance on Day 2 of the Ind vs Eng Chennai Test. Meanwhile, a funny video of skipper Virat Kohli is getting viral on social media. In the video, captain Kohli was seen entertaining the audience at Chepauk by using Chennai Super Kings’ famous catchphrase “Whistle Podu” during the match.

Around 12000 spectators were present inside the stadium due to a Sunday, which strongly encouraged the Indian team. When England started batting on Day 2, half of their batters were cleaned up by Indian bowlers for just 87 runs. Fans were witnessing some amazing moments on-field as they loved watching India dominate England, especially after losing to them in the first Test. Young speedster Mohammed Siraj got rid of star batsman Oli Pope off his very first delivery in Test cricket on Indian soil. The noise and excitement of the spectators was unbelievable when Siraj bagged Pope’s wicket. Fans expressed their joy by clapping, whistling and cheering for him and Indian team. The Indian skipper was seen asking the crowd to ‘Whistle Podu’, and the entire stadium erupted as soon as Kohli indulged in his act of whistling. He also asked the crowd to turn up their volume a few notches higher, and the crowd obliged instantaneously, creating a surreal atmosphere in the stadium.
