Shashi Tharoor MP, asking for an end to the controversy, Tharoor tweeted that they should work together for the good of the party. There has been silence on the issue for the last four days. When the party president himself says that these issues are behind us, it is the duty of all of us to work together creatively for the interests of the party. I urge all my colleagues to uphold this principle and end the discussion, ”Shashi Tharoor tweeted.
Meanwhile, senior leader Ghulam Nabi Azad is adamant that Congress needs full-time leadership. There is no concern that Rahul Gandhi or anyone else will preside. In an interview with English media, Ghulam Nabi Azad said that the letter sent to Sonia Gandhi was not a parallel act but was blamed by those who did not know the party.
I’ve been silent for 4 days on recent events in @incIndia because once the CongressPresident says the issue is behind us, it is the duty of all of us to work together constructively in the interests of the Party. I urge all my colleagues to uphold this principle & end the debate.

The letter, issued by 23 leaders demanding a change of leadership, sparked a heated debate. There were big explosions even on the working committee. There was a great deal of disagreement among party leaders across the country over the leaders who wrote the letter and the leak of the letter to the High Command to the media.
Shashi Tharoor was among the 23 leaders who signed the letter. The KPCC president had come out with a warning against Tharoor. Party discipline must be observed by all. He added that comments should be made in party forums. Tharoor is a person who regularly visits leaders in Delhi without coming to Thiruvananthapuram. Mullappally Ramachandran said it was not clear why the letter was written. At the same time, Mullappally had justified PJ Kurien who signed the letter.
