Chennai: Another explosion at a firecracker factory in Tamil Nadu. Two workers died in the fire. A fire broke out at a firecracker factory in Sivakasi in Virudhanagar district of Tamil Nadu. The deceased have been identified as Mariappan and Muthuvel, natives of Sivakasi. Two people were injured in the blast.
After the explosion, the fire brigade reached the spot and are making efforts to douse the fire. The accident took place at a firecracker manufacturing factory in Kalayar Kukhri, which is located near Sivakasi.
The injured have been admitted to the government hospital in Sivakasi. The cause of the fire is unclear. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
