33 people, including al-Qaeda terrorists, were arrested in Pakistan’s Punjab province

Islamabad: Police foiled a terrorist attack plan in Pakistan’s Punjab province. 32 cases have been registered in connection with the incident. The police said that the members of organizations like Al-Qaeda, 133 Brigade, Sipa Sahaba Pakistan, Lashkar Jangvi and Tehreek Jafaria Pakistan were arrested.

Two hand grenades, two IED bombs, 26 detonators, safety fuse wire, four pistols, bullets and banned literature were found in possession of the terrorists. Weapons, explosives and other deadly weapons have been seized from them.

About 475 people were arrested after being interrogated. In an operation conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Department of the Punjab Police, 33 members of the banned outfit were arrested from different parts of the province.
